Default How does the store make you pay??

Does it send a bill to your house and you put money in and send back or is it credit card, or paypal?? I'm just wondering.

Pay by credit card only. Sucks for those few of us that don't have one.

I wish they sold cards with codes in it that you could just put in the code from the card and then woolah you not havea extra character slot. They could just call them expansion cards and ship them to some shops, or OR! even throw one in with the next Gild Wars!! Then we can use that to choose if we want storage, character slot or something! I do not know but, credit cards are icky if you can't work.

If you check with your local bank, you can get a prepaid cash card from one of those credit companies. It functions just as a debit/credit card as far as a retailer is concerned, and since it has either the Visa, Mastercard, or American Express logo on it, everyone accepts them. The only difference is that if you put $20 on one, that is all you can ever spend, just like a gift certificate.

I would suggest staying away from that store for a little while. My guildmate just got a call from the Fraud Department at her bank because there were 30 charges from the store and they were still coming. She never once got a transaction to go through. It kept telling her that the expiration date was wrong then it would error out. Now her credit card is on hold and she still doesn't have even 1 extra character slot.
I won't be purchasing a slot for a long time. They can't even code simple updates right. Why would anyone think they could code an online transaction right the first time. With game updates they can just make a small patch or two following the update. A transaction with real money isn't that simple. They should have tested this a bit more IMO.

Don't you know you should never put money (cash) in envelopes?

No they don't I created one in less than a minute with NO problems. However I think i would be a good idea if they at least accepted paypal for the large number of us that don't have or want to use a credit card on the net.

Methinks Paypal would be a great step forward.

Heck, if they had something similar to WoW's game card thing in stores it would be nice. You know, 10 dollars for a card that allows you to put in an access key to add another slot onto your account. Something like that

What concerns me about the store, and one of the reasons I haven't bought another character slot yet is there has been no explanation to how secure it is. At least with a secure website you can see and know that the transaction is being simply passed through the site to the merchant account, I'd like to think that this was true in the ingame shop but no word has been released about it.

That is exactly why I am not gonna bother with another character slot anytime soon, Not that I need one.

Debit cards work as well. not just credit cards. 99.9% of the time, if there is an option to pay by credit card, inputting your debit card info will clear and pay just the same way.

Debit Cards issued by your Bank work JUST LIKE Credit Cards on their side. Like mentioned in the thread.

I avoid PayPal like the Plague right now (which is why I dont EBay much) because of horror stories I've heard about that service.
